Eravikulam National Park is about 15 km from Munnar and covers around 97 square kilometres of high grassland and forest in the Western Ghats. It is known as a home of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr, a mountain goat of the Western Ghats.

The park is also known for the Neelakurinji, a flower that blooms once every 12 years. Anamudi, the highest peak in South India, lies within the park, and permission is needed to trek there.
